How can I make more/faster friends on The Sims 2?

I'm looking for maybe a tip or a cheat... just going to a community lot and talking isn't the answer I'm looking for...

do some cheats. *ssshhh* here is a secret SUPER cheat: press control C in the main screen, then in the box type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true". now go to a lot and you CAN DO ANYTHING YOU EVER IMAGINGED. try right clicking on people and the mail box and the newspaper, using the shift key and dragging personality and mood bars, and using ctrl right click to make aspirations come true. seriously, its the ****

Method 1:
Okay, here goes: WARNING: must have fast computer or you'll lag like crazy
first things first, make sure Free Will is on (press F5 and then click the little cogs to find it) this ensures that your Sims will chat on their own
ctrl+shift+c and a little window should pop up. type "boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true" (this cheat is UBER!)
shift click your mailbox and select "invite all neighbors" THIS WILL INVITE EVERYONE TO YOUR HOUSE! (social worker, babies, neighbors, mailman, bartenders, you name it, they come. even if your neighborhood is like empty there will be hundreds of them, hence the fast computer)
There is a cheat on the mailbox that says "make me friends" which, indeed, does make you friends with a lot of people... but it is the bare minimum, then you get calls from everyone over the next LIVE hour and a half warning you that your friendship is dying...
Anyhoo, then you shift+click the mailbox again and choose "make all happy" after the neighbors arrive. This will bring all of their (and your) needs up to full so they will have no reason to leave (unless they have kids and/or it is late at night)
After that put it on medium/full speed and keep the sims needs full via the mailbox cheat. Your sim should do the rest. (This may need to be done multiple times)
Note: if for any reason you need money (i.e. to buy a couch) the great cheat is:
ctrl+shift+c
motherlode
for 50,000 simoleons each time!

Method 2 (my personal favorite):more effective/one-on-one
Choose the first sim you want to make a good relationship with. Invite them over (unless they live with you) and buy a pinball machine (if this is only Sims 2 University, a couch will do nicely but the pinball machine is better). Have your sim play the pinball machine then invite the other sim to play it with you (it should be an option if you click them)
Now to keep them both playing pinball and becoming friends. type ctrl+shift+c and use the "boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true" cheat mentioned above. shift+click the mailbox and select "make (me?) all happy" use this whenever your needs get low because the other sim's needs are dropping at the same rate. They will become great friends eventually (put in 3x mode)
Couch: see pinball machine method but with inviting them to sit down. They will probably get up more often this way and you will have to keep re-inviting them to sit.
If you want their romance/lifetime relationship meter to go up, you will have to do this manually as far as I know. Be creative and continuously interact with the other sim. The shift+click mailbox make all happy cheat will be extremely useful here as well.

Cheat:
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true

This will allow you to open up debugging cheats and so forth. holding down Shift while clicking on any sim will open up a wide range of options for you. I normaly select Make sim SELECTABLE on a non family sim. This way you can play your sim and this neighbor sim and make them interact nicely with one another. When you're done, ****-click and select UNSELECTABLE and they'll become an NPC once again.

Without Cheating, it takes much longer and can mess up a lot more. just talking to people doen't really work. Try pulling jokes or playing kicky bag (if you have university expansion). Also if you have any expansions, HANG OUT option is nice to just let your sims sit and figure one another out.
Normally I make friends by telling joke OR if they dislike jokes, I brag or admire them till they're more comferatable with talking or playing with one another. Try this or other activities such as the pinball table or watching TV. Group activities are another easy way to make your sims interact with people.
