i never watched the tv show too much, i wasnt allowed to watch tv. I read all of the laura ingalls wilder books growing up and her father in the books called her halfpint as a nickname, so i guess they took that bit of info to use in the tv show. The books are waaay better than the tv show.

When I was back in America visiting my granny, we would sit together and watch the shows every morning. They remind her of her life when she was a child, so they have very special meaning for me. :) I've written a book of my granny's childhood stories, actually - family memoirs. It was such a different time 100 years ago, and it makes me wonder if modern conveniences are really worth it, if they really do make life "better." I miss quality television like that, so I don't watch TV much at all. I haven't read the books in a LOOOOOOOONG time, so thanks for reminding me.

Reading the e book instead of observing the movie is the best way to see what the writer intended. Reading uses your creativeness, hones your reading skills, and can improve your vocabulary
