Nothing. I'm 29 and have used aftershave maybe once or twice. But, according to some websites, it makes your skin softer(lotion does that), hair thinner and helps guard against razor bumps.

But you are leaving your pours open-they need to be closed Gently!
Aftershave is alcohol based,and is NO Good for use on skin(Hence the burning sensation when used)
Try a Post Shave healing balm-Keeps the skin looking great!! and feeling smooth!
I use Clinique Men's Shaving products!
Not cheap or that expensive really,but the effects on Pre-shaved and shaved faces are Great!

Well, if men have decided to stop shaving and we're not talking about a nice goatee here, then I suppose they don't use shaving lotion or aftershave. I like stuff from the Body Shop, minty or musky with a hint of oak. Nothing like Old Spice.

The makers of Aqua Velva will lose profit and market share.They will be forced to lay off workers.The workers will go on workmans comp and food stamps.Perhaps,some will commit suicide or commit other felonious offenses that injure and maim unsuspecting bystanders,thus innocent people will become disaffected by the ruination of society as we know it.Taxes will increase to support those effected.You better use your freaking aftershave if you know whats good for us all.

You can get a really dry face, among other demo-symptoms.
Black men are advised to use certain products that may preclude them from razor bumps...which is a big problem in the military

I have never used aftershave. Nothing will happen.
I can tell you that if you use aftershave you will experience some serious burning sensations.

aftershave helps seal the pores and keeps you from getting infected hair folicles after you have shaved your face.

Or so the ads make it sound like.
There are no bad effects from not applying after shave.
And you won't trigger asthma attacks just by walking bye.
