How can you tell?
Also how do you know if you got talent to be an actor/actress?

If you can act in a variety of roles and not just memorize lines. It must have feeling and be convincing.

Box office proceeds. Allthough being popular doesn't mean someone or thing is good, what sells is how today's entertainment is judged. They might suck at acting. Or a band might be totally obnoxious to listen to. But, if it sells, then the movie makers, advertizers, and fans are happy. TRends are often what sells in ANY marketing. Like ever here the word "comfterble?" It is spelled com-fort-a-ble. Yet, I recall, some news reporters shortened the word doing the news. Then now, "comfterble" is how 90% of all people say it. It was a trrend, then it became Americana. I'm surprized it's not in Webster's Dictionary. But, what sells to many companies today, saddly, is how a talent is considered good.

If it seems like acting, it sucks. If it's effortless, easy, REAL, telling, truthful, it's talent. Example: Bad Acting: Alec Baldwin. Great Acting: Gary Oldman. As for you being an actress, only one way to find out. Try it! Read, study and TRY!

I would say an actor has talent.. If i want to see the movie just because they are in it.. and the only way to tell if you have talent.. is to audition for something.. and then get critiqued...

It's very subjective but I think someone is talented when they do not get cast in the same type of role everytime and they still manage to make the part look natural and real.....

If your spending time wondering IF he/she has talent instead of being lost in the role he/she is playing then that is a good indicator that they need work.

For me a actor don't even have to now his lines.
The best actors are the ones who can speak with there eyes .

well... i guess by how much they move you. kevin spacey was so good in american beauty, i immediately thought he was a great actor. brad pitt was good in fight club too.
