what causes people to harm it?

I always look at the trees, Mackbarack, & the flowers, the sky, the sunset, the sunrise, the clouds, the rivers, the hills, the mountains, the rocks, the insects, the wildlife. Can't get enough of it. Devevelopers with a greed for more money, Dustin, and our human waste & ignorance.

It's gorgeous! People harm it through ignorance (they don't know how much we need all of it to live, and to experience real richness) ... and greed ... and as "bilateral damage" while they pursue some other purpose like war or merely walking with heavy feet on the groundcover. But there's a lot of that about, sadly. How many people really look at a tree as they walk past it? Most have their senses so dulled now they need television, horror movies, or extreme sports so they can feel they're alive, or feel any emotion at all (apart from lust, which is always with us, thankfully! And sometimes turns to something far better)
