"maggots invaded under my kitchen rug and under washer and dryer , there's nothing dead around the area. what are they surviving on and how do we get rid of them ....bleach doent even kill them."

They could be living off starch or some other organic substance in the rug--doesn't take much food to keep a maggot happy. The bleach is probably killing them but there's probably more eggs that hatch. I'd suggest throwing out the rug, cleaning very thoroughly, and going without a rug until you're sure they're gone. Once sure, you can put down a rug again if you want.

maggots are The larva of the housefly and blowfly commonly found in decaying organic matter. This means animal feces, too.

flies lay eggs in decaying organic matter. you must have had some of this lying around. Remove the source and you'll remove the maggots.

My house is old and has this problem. I suggest that you vacuum, vacuum and vacuum!
This year, next year, summer, winter, spring and fall! You may want to make sure there isn't too much moisture under those areas, even if you have to do some heavy moving.
