If you name her Cheyenne, she at least has an option of a normal nickname if she completely hates her name. She can go by anne or something. Oh and if you are going to name your child some oddball name, pick a normal middle name so that she does have a choice.

just cheyenne, leave off the kansas part, dont name your child after a state, thats very americanized and doesnt give her any exotic factor at all. You want your child to be different and special, the name can help. Personally i like the name cheyenne a lot, but i think that Sequoyah sounds really natur-y to me, however its still very different and unique in a way. Try getting more options for names, dont limit yourself to two very different ones. But all in all i think Sequoyah's best. Good thinking!

good luck, and congrats on the newborn! (even if its not yours, not that i would know)

fuzzy...

I am not from the us; do not like at all Kansas, however, Cheyenne and Sequoyah sound much better and deal with the american history, seems to have so much more meaning than just Kansas.
good luck with whatever you choose though

Sequoyah is awful and sounds like some ghetto child (even though i know its indian), Cheyenne is more popular than Kansas---so I think thats why I like Kansas better.

Definately Cheyenne, though I like "Cheyanne" better. Either way, it's a beautiful name!

Hmmm.... Kansas sounds like a big state
Cheyenne sounds like a dusty old city
and Sequoyah sounds like a big fat tree.

Got any other ideas?
