For the sewer system, you are referring to the leaching chamber. The water that you use in your sink, flushing your toilet is collected here. The water that came out here is dirty and with bacteria not suitable for drinking. But, this water before disposing into drainage or bodies of water like rivers must be again put into another process of purification, so that it will pollute the river or the natural water underground.
While the water in a reservoir or in a dam came from rain. Although both waters will be treated the same when it passed through rigid process like coagulation, filtering, chlorination and UV treatment, before you can drink it.

Sewage is the liquid waste produced by humans which typically contains washing water, faeces, urine, laundry waste and other liquid or semi-liquid wastes from households and industry. It is one type of wastewater. Sewage collection and disposal is usually done via a system of sewer pipes (sewers) called sewerage, and sometimes via a cesspool emptier

Reservoir refers to an artificial lake, used to store water for various uses. They are created first by building a sturdy dam, usually out of cement, earth, rock, or a mixture of all three. Once the dam is completed, a stream is allowed to flow behind it and eventually fill it to capacity. Reservoirs are most usually made for one of the following reasons:

1) to hold water for domestic, agricultural (irrigation), and industrial use, particularly as drinking water

2) to hold water to power machinery, such as a water mill, or to generate electricity or to store electricity

The water at the end of the sewage process is treated effluent which means that it has been through processes to remove the solid waste and break down the other waste products that are in it whaen it comes from your kitchen sink, washing machine, shower, toilet etc. The water in a reservior is water that is put there by rain, run off, pipes for other lakes or rivers and channels. In most cases however this water is treated before you drink it with chlorine etc to kill off any nasties from run off, bird poop etc.
