I have an aluminum bike and i will be striping the clear coat and the paint off of it and i would like to keep it just bare aluminum with no paint or anything. What i would like to know is if i dont put anything on the aluminum at all will it corrode or rust and if so what do i need to put on it to keep it from corroding or rusting?

thx 2 all but i think i did read some where that it dosent rust but can corrode so can u maybe suggest a product that will help pervent that if it even does corrode.

OK cool feed back well other then a polish is there a spray on or wipe on seal like a gloss that will protect it from the water or just getting dull.

The only way it will corrode is if it gets wet, and even if it gets wet that's no problem. just wipe it off when done riding. If you want, you can use Mothers polish or Blue magic polish. Just read the direcions. Very easy, and it'll make the aluminum shine, polish it enough and it'll make the aluminum look like chrome.

aluminum does not oxidize and will not corode. It will however, get dull and flat looking. Try Mothers Aluminum Polish from an auto store. It's made to keep aluminum wheels shiny.
