I have been a loyal Tiger fan since I was 12 back in 1949 and have continued up until today. I was there in 1968 and 1984 at Tiger Stadium (Briggs Stadium) so I have seen the very best and the very worst. Saw Joe DiMaggio, Sagel Page, Stan Musial and many many more big stars of the game and I have many many memories of the Detroit Tigers. I actually played in the Goodfellow football game in 1955 at the then Briggs Stadium.

I am a real tiger fan. My first game was Alan trammell's first game as a Tiger. and I was there for his last game as a player . I was there at the corner when Gibby had hit a home run over right filed roof that had landed in the lumber yard across the street. I was there when Kirby Puckett had made a awesome catch off Higginson. I was there at the last game at the corner and the first game at the new park. and so and so on. These band wagoners had ruin it for me this season they were not there during the bad times, they had criticize the team and my belief in the team. in the past .
I'm glad that my tigers are in the world series but i hope they lose to the cardinals This team is very cocky and arrogant, and the band wagoners are just the same.
The real fan is not cocky and arrogant, they know that the tigers have a slim chance of actually winng the won thing, due to the lack experince and it is now showing.

You know that is a bit shallow. I think we could do polls in every city and find their losing teams not getting much support. Ive been a tiger fan since I met "the Bird" back in the seventies. Yes, the tigers have been a crappy team for a long time but it doesnt mean people just give up. Their cheers may lay dormant until there is something worth cheering about. This goes for every team, not just the tigers, whether it be baseball, hockey, football, etc.

I'm a Real FAN. I was 12 when they won in '68. "We're all behind our baseball team, go get 'em Tigers...Go get 'em Detroit Tigers, Go get 'em Tigers!..."DIck McAuliffe the mighty might, Freehan's first hit a welcome sight, Denny McClain came thru with the clutch, Don Wert on 3rd was just too much, in flew a Texas storm-Norman Cash, and Jimmy Northrup smash after smash, you can't take it away from Stanley's play and Horton and Kaline, well what, can you say? Let's here it for the Tigers, Tigers won the series, Tigers are the champs oh yeah, Tigers are the champs!" circa 1968. "Bless You Boys, this is the year" circa 1984. I was there!

A real fan stood by them in the difficult times, yet paid attention briefly. It is difficult to watch your team consecutively get beaten year after year.

I'd say the real fan had high hopes again at the beginning of the season as always, and never gave up faith when they started climbing to the top.

They've been my bro's favorite team since forever, and we're not even from Detroit.
Don't worry, the Angels aren't quite as trendy anymore, it dies.
