Do you think she could win?

G'day Onjel,

Thanks for your question.

That is a matter for her. However, as she is worth $1.5 billion, she might decide that she earns too much to run. She would have to put her TV show on hold for a year so that she can run.

However, that would allow her to bankroll a run for the Presidency.

However, I couldn't see her receiving the endorsement of a major party which she would probably need to be elected. As far as I know, she isn't interested in running for President. However, she has announced interest in the possible candidacy of Barack Obama.

I have attached sources for your reference.

Regards

Why not?

We've had a president that was an actor. At least on her show she's always dealing with things... she'll have had practice for most of the domestic problems she'd have to deal with. Foreign policy might be interesting, though..

She could win. Anyone with a ton of money has a shot at winning the presidency of the U.S. Sad but true.

I believe she could win due to her immense popularity. However, I also believe she would make for a poor president. Running a television show and the most powerfull nation on earth are worlds apart.

She sure should, and we could run Rush Limbaugh as the Vice.

Hey people, wake up and smell the coffee. These people are entertainers. Their only job is to grab and hold as big an audience as possible so the advertising money rolls in.

Good Lord does anyone think anymore?

You're kidding, right?

Running and hosting a popular talk show is one thing, but running a country is another. I honestly don't think she has what it takes to direct and handle the affairs of a big nation.

I think she would win if she persuaded people that she can be the best president out of all the runner ups. But I am not really sure that she would win or not.

Oprah is very good in talk shows and should concentrate on her career rather than running for President.

No she shouldn't, yes she might.

P.S. If she did win I would move to a different country perhaps Canada?
