I asked a question about my hip pain yesterday and I recieved some tips that were helpful and some that weren't so helpful.... (I will be 37 weeks pregnant on Wednesday, was 60% effaced, 1 cm dialated this past Saturday when they checked me, and my mucus plug is dislodged) Now that hip pain now feel like someone has a fist against my cervix and just rolling it around... more like pressure and some back pain. How can I relieve this? Also, I can not keep food down for the life of me (and haven't been able to for over a week), my throat is so sore from being raw that I can barely swallow water any more, it's even making me drop weight. Anyone know anything that may help? Please don't tell me to talk to my doctor because I don't see him till Thursday and I need help at least till then. Thank you.

I know you don't want to hear talk to your doctor but that's what they are there for. Because you are so far along and can't keep anything down I'd be worried enough to call. Even call the maternity ward at the hospital and they can give you an idea on what to do too. The pressure and back pain sound like labor. I know as you get closer to delivery your body will try to rid itself of everything. But if you are losing weight because of puking. . . that has me worried. With my first pregnancy I was a centimeter for like a month before I delivered. Then when I went into labor and got to the hospital (after having contractions all night long), I was three centimeters and felt like I was dying. With my second I was 2 centimeters the visit before my due date and didn't feel a damn thing. The pain right now is just something you gotta stick it out with. Try to lay on your side (left) with a pillow between your legs and then take another pillow and put it kinda under your belly, then roll over on your stomach some. That way your not propped up on your hip bone but on kinda the front of your thigh. I always slept like this when I was pregnant. If you feel like your bugging your doctor by calling (I did with my first pregnancy) all the time, know that it's what they get paid for. They are there to make sure you are doing alright. If you have a question or concern they are there to answer your question and tell you not to worry and when to worry. Just call, they don't mind.

There really is no cure. My sister had back pain and all the symptoms you have. But I can tell you you're about to deliver soon. But you really do need to talk to someone at the hospital or a doctor. My advice is to walk a lot and you will dialate further and you can have your baby soon. But that hip pain is probably from your hips stretching and making room for your baby to come out. I hope things get better for you, you have a great delivery, and your baby is healthy.

Call him or call the maternity department of the hospital you'll be delivering at. The not keeping anything down is not good - you need your strength. Get better and good luck.
I just reread this and you said you can't keep water down? Call someone NOW - you are being dehydrated- which may also explain why you can't keep food down. Try a popsicle or sucking on ice for water. You absolutely need to stay hydrated whether you are pregnant or not. This could be a real danger for your baby. DON"T WAIT - CALL THE HOSPITAL OR GO NOW!

I simply had twins a month in the past. I used to be instructed to system feed them considering the fact that I would not make sufficient milk. Well I've bought 2 healthful, beautiful boys who best take the boob! The Dr. even mentioned to hold up the well paintings at certainly one of their checkups.

you really need to see a doctor before hten sounds like somethin may be wrong. or it may be time to have you babY!! if soemthing is wrong then you need to have the baby. it may be in trauma or you may be sick. call you doc tomarrow talk to him and see ifyou can come in. this isnt normal. hip pain could be the baby moving down and you body making room for it. and the pressure also seems like the baby is moving down. i really think you should see your doc..
