I have always liked the name Cecelia personally. CeeCee for nick name. Mia Cecelia or Emma Cecelia are my personal choices. but those are what I like and everyone has their own taste which is good otherwise we'd all be walking around being named Marie or Joshua. But out of your selection none of them sound ditzy or slutty.

First of all, I'd bet five bucks your name is Bethany, and personally I like the name. Here is my thoughts on the others.

Vanessa - Makes me think of poor people trying to pick a "fancy" name.
Alexa - Sounds like a stripper's name.
Stephanie - Sounds like a farmer's daughter's name.
Cecelia - Makes me think of a classy gal. I like the shortened Celia.
Paulina - Sounds old-fashioned, and she might get called Polly (Birds?).
Tiffany - Sounds so much like a slutty cheerleader I can't stand it.

Now all of these except Alexa and Tiffany are good names, but I would probably go with Bethany if I had to choose one. If I were given my own options, I would throw out Margaret (Maggie), Clare/Clair/Clara, or Eleanor (Elle, or Ellie). They're nice names, aren't used too often, and I mainly like them because they're really cute when shortened.

Vanessa, Alexa, Bethany and Tiffany make me think of snobby bitches.
Stephanie, Paulina and Cecelia I like, no bad thoughts

I also like Kelly Michelle or Kimberly Jill
Just a thought.

I'm also Stephanie, so I give that the thumbs up! I never thought much about my name, but people say it sounds nice. Cecelia is a beautiful name and can be abbreviated to "Celia." I also like Vanessa and Alexa. You have great taste and any of those would be beautiful. How about Stephanie Alexa or Tiffany Cecelia?

I really like Alexa and Cecelia... I feel like people grow to make their names their own... and those two names sound like a girl who's beautfiul, involved, smart, and good-natured. In my opinion, anyways. :-)

I'm not a big fan of Paulina, but I think that's only bc I have a friend who's name is Paul and we call him that. And Tiffany and Stephanie are really common.

Good luck and have fun!

Well in my opinion I think they are all OK names, one happens to be my daughters name. None of them sound dizty or slutty. My self personally I like unusual names, so maybe changing them to spell different might look more better. Eg: Bethany could be Bethanee, Bethanie Tiffany could be Typhanie. Well I tried good luck Auntie. :)

I like Bethany the best, because it means "house of God." I like to name people for what the names mean. For instance, my daughter's name is Kaitlyn, and it means "pure heart." My name is Gayla, and it means "happy." If I had a son, his name would be Jonathan, because even though it is common, it means "God's gift, or beloved of God."

I also like Alexa because there are so many variations of it and it just sounds cool.

Good luck, and have fun with your new niece. They aren't little for very long.

well i like all of them, even though they are very common and most have a stuck up sound to them. (only because the people i knew with these names) but i don't like Tiffany only because all the Tiffany's i knew were stuck up, snotty, rude and didn't act at all like a girl(lady) sorry if that's your name.
however if i had to pick one from your list i would pick Stephanie or Vanessa. mainly Stephanie! they are very pretty names and sound sophisticated/ mature to me.
