I don't understand how illegal immigrants can recieve these benefits when they are not supposed to be here in the first place yet I was discharged from the military with Personality Disorders which has made my life a struggle and hardship which I believe would make me qualify for these programs; after all I did serve my country honorably and I am an American Citizen which would make me Eligable for such programs I would think. Am I correctand if not then why?

Sadly illegal immigrants are supported by the ACLU, which is a very powerful group that guilts Congress into giving away our tax dollars and giving criminals more rights than victims because they don't want to seem insensitive.

I've heard this before too...that "aliens" are receiving these benefits, including social security...it was on news 4 in MD. They were saying that if all the immigrants didn't get these benefits there would be more than enough for the citizens of the USA to receive more than they do and the homeless would be able to get the help they need also.

I'm not sure that's true, but one thing I know for sure is some do pay taxes but many DO NOT! I know for a fact they can go to the ER and get seen by the doctor for FREE because the hospital can't legally turn any emergency away. The system such as it is, is flawed making it hard for a citizen who worked all their life to get any assistance to get back on their feet. You would have to be a drug addict or have some babies out of wedlock, then maybe they will help you. We should blame our elected officials because they let it happen, not the poor people trying to get a better life.

first of all....Immigrants DO PAY TAXES!! they have their different ways of getting jobs...and no matter what, they do pay taxes...they give allot of money to the Social Security, and they don't get to see one cent from it!...and you say..."well, they don't pay taxes because they have under the table jobs" I Know many Americans that get payed under the table, not as much as Mexicans but they do. anyways what is the problem with it! they are not bothering you, they just want a better life like everyone else. Anyways please if there is some one to blame.. blame the parents, the kids who are born here in America from illegal parents...its not their fault! C'mon now! how can you send back to Mexico this kids that were born and raised here!! even though its still illegal ITS NOT THEY'RE FAULT!. even the kids who came here at a very young age. dint be greedy WE ALL PAY TAXES, EVEN IMMIGRANTS! and they don't even receive all the benefits that you mentioned...and guess what! they cant get life insurance here in the States ether. geesh...give this people a break...instead make some Latino friend, we Latinos are the best friends you can have!

Don't forget low-interest business loans that they probably never pay back. Also credit cards with zero or very low interest rates. Why do you think all the foreigners over here own all the stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. etc. etc. An American-born citizen can't get near the stuff the immigrants get. Thank you for serving our country.
