Ok I will try this but it was been a long time. In 1998 we left our video camera in the airport of Athens Greece. My father passed away in 2000 and all that we had of film was in this black bag that was carlesly left by my brother who fell asleep. Certain details like the language spoken on the tapes was serbo-croation. There is me with a mashroom styl hair cut. There is a dinner and a women in a blak dress... This is a shot in the dark but I if anyone has in there posetion by some chance the tape(s) or the camera I would give a significant reward. Please help me as this is so important to me and I offer a sugnificant reward. I hope there is someone in the world who can assist. If you find the tapes you will know what I am looking for. Thank you and God bless.

I think my answer will make you a little sad, but it is the truth.
I just contacted for you the lost and found department of Athens International airport in order to try and help you. I talked to the officers of the department (Police runs this department) and they told me that lost objects that have not be claimed for a year are handed over to public government's authority and they sell them to auctions. The officer told me that your camera has most probably been sold to someone and that it would be impossible to find out where it went.
Sorry for this..

I'm afraid that 8 years is an extremely long time.
I would suggest you to contact the airport authorities at www.aia.gr but I find it absolutely impossible for the "Lost & Found" Dept. to have kept anything that old, provided that the Airport moved to a new location in 2003 and they have discarted all old staff.
However, you have nothing to lose. Contact them to see if you can find anything...

Good luck!

That sucks. I know after a year you cant even find them at lost and found. Your only hope is that someone that got it, actually kept the tape and they are on yahoo answers, and they are seeing yoru question, and they will reply. I am really sorry., Just being realistic not to be rude. I wish you all the luck.
