An absolute neccesity, and with no offense meant at all,,, is to know and understand that cultures "Gestures" before ever expressing them.

An example, used globally might likely involve a single finger,,,but it's meanings,,, in the example, might have different values/meanings, in various cultures.

Gesturing can be considered a "Short Hand" of sorts, but can be extremely offensive or dangerous in one cultural exchange, as opposed to what it might mean to an ignorant, attempting an expression.

Very important, as in normal communication. Gestures are an extension of what we are trying to communicate. In a foreign environment, where language & uderstanding one another could be a barrier, it helps to get the message across.

gestures or body language is a non-verbal form of communication and it varies in different cultures/countries. its almost as good, if not even better than verbal communication. you can't lie with your actions. you'll nead local knowledge to know what the "hands and arms" mean. otherwise, don't try doing it unless you know for sure what it really means, just so yo could save yourself from trouble.
