Like in their concerts, public events, press conferences,etc...?
Most people can barely handle a party of 100 and speak in front of them with no stuttering. They just speak to strangers like they are their bestfriends.

It's what they love to do. Some people are just natural performers and entertainers. You can learn how to be better in front of crowds by simply practicing. When I was in Jr. High I was in a school band. My first performance that I ever did was nerve racking just because I knew I wasn't very good. After I started getting better at playing the flute, I got more confidence and I wanted to share with everyone what I could do. Like when artists put their art in museums or writers publish their books, celebrities just want to show everyone what their talent is. They are comfortable in front of cameras and loads of people because they have the confidence in their own act.
They speak to strangers like they are their best friends because all those strangers are the ones who are keeping them celebrities, and they know it. They just try making an impression. It doesn't really have to be a good impression, because what one person likes about another person, someone else may hate. They be their own person because they know that others admire them for having no inhibitions. Although there are tons of different celebrities, and there are tons of different motives as to why they talk to strangers as if they are best friends. Some of them just want to be friends with the world.
Getting a little nervouse in front of a crowd is natural. Even celebrities get nervouse sometimes. Stage fright is a whole different thing. If you have stage fright than you should try taking deep breaths, going slow, and picking a spot on the back wall to focuse on because if you see the crowds eyes it will just make you more nervouse. If that doesn't work, you could consult a professional.
For me it would be an ultimate rush if I had a crowd cheering for me, not a fear, but then again I can understand how someone may be afraid that the whole crowd won't like them. Just have confidence, if you ever need or want to perform. If you love your crowd, they'll love you.

Well, it's mainly because they know that their FANS, and they are
wanted . Whereas if you weren't famous and going out there to
sing or perform or talk, etc.....it would harder cause nobody would
knew who the heck ya are !! Ya know ? Its a big difference. But
I also think they have very good Artist Representatives ( A&R)
people...to teach them some tricks of the trade. Still, some
famous people do get nervous...they can just hide it, better than us. Maybe some have a beer first or a joint or xanax....????

Practice, practice, practice....and sometimes queludes.

They rehearse public events. Since giving face is their job, they take it seriously and go to great pains to appear calm.

Also, they do get to know some reporters and are more comfortable with some than others. Also, sometimes celebrities only agree to an interview with softball questions.

I used to be SCARED TO DEATH of performing in front of people,

But as my singing and performing ability got better,

I have no problems singing and talking in front of hundreds of people at a time.

And thousands to me would be no different.
