i asked that one a long time ago, myself! I tend to enjoy asking questions. i'm a teacher and enjoy hearing the variety of answers you get on a question. sometimes i'll feel that there are only 2 or 3 possible answers, and am always astounded by the creativity and synergy a forum like this can create.

many people enjoy the points, but since they're not backed by little gold coins that have a "yahoo gold reserve" stamp or that can be cashed in for goods & services, i don't care about the points at all. there is satisfaction in giving a good answer, interesting, creative, helpful, but more to me in finding the same.

It depends on the person. It depends on what you're looking for.

No question is 100% a question, because sometimes questions - as individual entities - can offer answers. And no answer is 100% an answer because sometimes answers lead to more questions.
Where there's shadow, there's also light and vice versa. If you have an answer, you have a question too and vice versa.

And usually, questions are inside answers and answers are inside questions, that's why you can't judge them as separate 'beings'. So I say both, depending on what you're searching for.

A good question.

Good questions result in better answers than bad questions.

And a good answer to a bad question is usally just some nerd being a smartass, not a reall answer.

Definitely a good question. Gets people thinking and almost always results in good and interesting answers.

A good question is only good if you know the answer...whilst a good answer is only good if you know the question...
