on the left with his hand not on the flag pole. i saw this movie in black and white. what i remember is that he was a native american, according to the movie. also the actor who played him was someone very familiar in TV shows such as Twilight Zone, Star Trek, Gun Smoke........

well you answered 2/3, i think. i was looking for the name of the movie and also did not know the name of the actor or the actual person in real life. i like to see it again and and compare movies.
