Both conscious and subconscious are our metaphysical being, and therefore need not cease on physical death. Subconscious is that part of consciousness that does not arise from the thinking process nor emotion. It is therefore beyond even our mind. In the absence of a functioning body, logically speaking, it ought to manifest elsewhere - while a lot of conjectures are there, I do not think we have any definite answer as yet, as to where it manifests post death. Yes, it is a good possibility that it manifests in another body newly born, although not necessarily human being.

Conscious, subconscious, preconcious: why would any of those states not cease when we die..? Sorry, just don't understand why you think that way.
No harm meant, just cannot see how that relates to being reborn? Should we indeed be reborn after death...
good question though.

I believe we are beings made of energy not flesh. We use these bodies almost like a host. When we die our spirit chooses to do what it must depending on its' life experiences. If you feel you have accomplished what you have come her to do and are happy with what you have done, then relatives, ancestors, whatever you want to call them, come and take you to a kind of halfway point between heaven and hell. When you get there you are judged by others who have passed on. Kind of like a jury with God presiding as Judge. Then you either go to heaven or hell. Some of use pass on before we are ready or if we feel things didn't go as planned through violence or our own interpretation of our life. They stay here as ghosts. Either when they are ready or helped, they can then move on. I also believe that we can be reborn if we feel we need to work on something within ourselves and to improve our karma. All in all, our body dies but our mind or essense remains intact. Our subconcious is suppressed, but does not cease forever. Imagine all those memories from all those past lives, our brains couldn't handle it. I think that is why it is merely suppressed. I do believe the subconscious stays intact because of the soul's need to improve its karma. It has to remember some basics to accomplish this. I don't think things are as simple as heaven and hell and that it is more complex. Our life when we are physically alive is merely another gate we must pass though to spiritual enlightenment.

The subconscious is a Freudian idea ... he was looking for the mechanism that caused neuroses ... the subconsious exists , maby?, ,just under the conscience mind.
The soul is the essence of you ... Not the subconscious. The soul exists above the mind. The soul doesn't need a where to exist ... where is a question of physical location , as in where are we , the soul is a question of spiritual location, as in who are we.
With love;

I believe that only bodies die. Mind always has been and always will be. Mind, Spirit, Soul is all the same thing to me. Once you've had a near death experience and hover above your body you realize this and you know that your consciousness never ceases, though your body lies lifeless.

Thats great that you think that. At the end of the day the being (conscious and subconscious) ceases to exist at time of death.

subconsciousness is a dynamic state occurring as result of the interplay between the soul and body. After death since body is no more the subconsciousness also die.

The subconscious is our "God Force." It what is referred to as "The God in us." A part of us is always connected to the rest of what is happening beyond the physical dimension. Some call it "The All." The "all" is the storehouse for all of human experience, and where our subconscious is operating from relative to our destiny.

After we die, the subconscious exists in the subunconscious. But it doesn't matter to us one bit.

My dear, when we leave this universe this planet, we do not need the subconscious, it is for here for now to help relieve pressure. Since we are to be forgiving people as God wants us to be, we are not God; God buries things and puts up a sign no fishing. believe me no one but no one had better bring that buried garbage up again. So deep in our minds are things that have happened to us while we are on our journey, they are buried in our subconscious; some of those things we pray we never have to deal with again as Gods' word states, but sometimes because we are human we are self's bring them up time and again and relive them over and over, this is not good, so like my pastor said bury things that need to be buried and do not leave the handle sticking up. Bottom line our subconscious helps us cope; and gives us time to heal; in the here and now.
