this is the normal age range when babies start to become scared of men especially ones they don't see very often. some times i think it might be good instinct. your baby will grow out of it so never force them to be overly friendly to people they react this way to.

Men tend to be bigger and have deeper voices than women. Maybe she finds them intimidating. My daughter is 15 months and really turns on the charm for anyone that resembles her bepa (my dad). If a man has a baseball cap and a mustache, she just smiles and giggles and waves...anything to get his attention. On the other hand, she tends to be funny with women. The other day we were in the grocery store and there was a nice lady at the deli counter trying everything to get her to smile, but she just stared at her suspiciously. In the very next aisle there was another lady shopping and before she even saw my daughter, she was calling out "hello!" and waving away. Kids are funny and they all have their own preferences. She'll probably grow out of it within a year or so. Just do your best to make her feel safe when she's around men that make her nervous.

I think it is normal, my daughter used to do the same with my cousin, everytime she would see him is like seeing a monster. She was about 10 month, now she is 2 yrs old and she sees him and she is no longer scared of him, We also notice than when he used to shave his beer and then come over the house she would not be scared at him but he had the beer it was a whole different story. It is quite normal, she will grow out of it.

Women look to be in a position to undergo a lot more than guys with regards to being a sufferer. God, in his countless knowledge created us that method. We're the caretakers. Don't get me fallacious, guys do have their pleasant features, however ladies are above all the nurturers. There is plenty of variations among the sexes, apart from the seen ones. So as they are saying in French, "Vive l. a. change"!

She is adorable first off, if she is the Avatar that you have. Second, my boy was scared of men too until he got bigger. I think that babies just know that they are vulnerable and they see other men (Men give off different vibes to babies than women do...we're cuddlers and coochie cooers) they pick up on those subtleties. don't worry, she will get better as she gets older.

Deep voices, facial hair. Masculine features. Could be any number of things. Since shes 6 months old... I'm sure she will grow out of it.

my sister's daughter was afraid of men because her father abused her mother. she had seen them fight, so she probably thought that every man was out to get her and her mother. she was terrified of men for a very long time even her uncles, your baby will get over it in time.

I don't know why, but I know it is normal. My daughter was afraid of men too. I think it may be because they have deeper voices and look a little "harder" than women.
We had a neighbor, and anytime he talked (not just to her, but to anybody) my daughter would scream!

do you believe in reincarnation.
maybe she was badly treated by men in another life.
on the other hand you don't really want her to be too friendly either with men .
so relax you can teach her to be polite when the times comes and she will probably be a cautious girl
just as well in this dangerous world
