The President should only be a representative for us Americans yet so many now beleive that makes him God for four years. When did we let our Democracy die? When did for the people by the people just become a buzz phrase?

I read this in the news today :::
In his article posted on the website Truthdig, Tillman wrote "Somehow, the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country. Somehow, this is tolerated. Somehow, nobody is accountable for this." Tillman goes on to write "Somehow the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes."

They don't have that right. Geeze, if Bush has said anything about whether Dan Rather's smear job was "news" or not, they would have blasted Bush. His Majesty is scared because people are watching Fox News and he's afraid of how much their NEWS reports will hurt him! Fox is one of the few NEWS sources out there. They tell both sides, unlike that crap we get from MSNBC. Now that's an organization that isn't really "news." The "mainstream media" should be angry at the WH because all this controversy is helping Fox's ratings. They are already higher than the others combined!

1st question: Which people decided that?
1st statement: The President is not a "representative" at all. And nobody thinks he is "God."
2nd and 3rd questions: Every time the U.S. Supreme Court misinterprets the Constitution while striking down a law, our Democracy dies a little bit at a time. That's been going on for a long time now. Over 100 years.

What a great, profound question! We are seeing the demolition of our Constitution and Democracy by the very President who swore to "Protect and Defend" it. One cannot "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" by trampling upon it and its people. That hasn't stopped George Bush and his allies in Congress, though. For him it is all about power and wealth.

The only way to slow down the destruction of America is to elect a Senate and Congress that will hold him and the Republican leadership accountable for their crimes and the damage they have done to our nation. Democrats are not necessarily "good" by definition, but they are the only hope of stopping this megalomaniac and his administration from hijacking America itself.

Thank God our founding fathers were brilliant in designing a government that would be so difficult for one faction to usurping power from the American People. God save America!

Since common sense is not so common. Our government has fallen apart along with our will to do nothing more that yell about how things are wrong and do nothing to change them. We have become sheep that blindly follow one another around.

I would also like to take a second to point out that our country is a Republic.

Since Roosevelt broke the back of the Supreme Court back in 1937.

Something that should serve a lesson to people of all political persuasions...giving "your guy" all the power he wants to do things you like means giving power to someone you DON'T like later down the road .

I have to agree with you on this one, man. Bush as deserved the title because he's been misusing his Constitutionally-granted powers to attack his opponents for political gain, as well for his overinflated, incompetent ego!!! Oh, did you also want to call him a ruthless tyrant? Now that's also a good name to call him!!!!! And as for our democracy, it's now down the tubes since Clinton left office! Our democracy is gone forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since republicans began feeling insecure about death and Bush convinced them that terrorists are capable of distroying everyone.

If you have been on online forums for very long, I'm sure you have encountered the type of people who are absolutely convinced that terrorists are going to kill everyone.
