A lot of people point out Albert Einstein as being the smartest person.

Consider that Einstein was an outspoken socialist (this has no bearing on his intelligence, but it's funny to consider that many people have been taught that socialism is not smart).

Also consider that Einstein spent most of his career trying to disprove parts of modern physics that he didn't agree with (he failed). The field of physics had far surpassed Einstein's knowledge even in his own lifetime. That means that right now there are thousands of better informed physicists walking around on Earth.

The truth behind this matter is that the smartest people on Earth probably will never be known or recognized. If they are truly smart, they'll want to keep it this way. =)

There have been many exceptional minds in history.

Einstien is a favorite, but his genius was mostly contained within physics.

Someone mentioned Alexander the Great, one of my favorite figures in history, however, his genius was mostly within the field of war, and it is a given that he was the greatest military leader in history, but Master Sun Tzu is likely a greater genius, since he was the basis for The Art of War.

Socrates was a great thinker, and transformed the learning system with the Socratic Method (asking the students questions, so they can ponder and think creatively. however, the Greek knowledge had a wide range of participants, more than just Socrates. (Plato, Aristotle, Democrates, etc.)

One of the greatest collection of minds in one area, has to be Revolutionary America. Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Adams, et al. Jefferson alone was one of the greatest minds ever, he was a linguist, biologist, theologian, architect, statesman, philosopher and inventor. Franklin would be remembered alone for his inventions.

However, the greatest mind of all time is Leonardo da Vinci.

This man would be remembered for his artistic talent alone. He painted perhaps the most famous painting ever, "the Mona Lisa." However, his understanding of how machines worked, well before they were common, puts him literally cenuries ahead of his time. He invented the concept, if not working models of the following modern items; Airplane, Tank, Submarine, Scuba Diving, Robot, Helicopter (and landing gear), Machine Gun, Lathe, Parachute, those are just the ones I remember.

You can google him and there should be thouands of sites.

This latter e book pronounced that every physique might nicely be a genius they only might desire to locate what they excel in. Now merely via fact a individual is a genius that does no longer propose they have greater effective understanding in math, technology and different college matters it skill that they've greater effective understanding in one particular subject say like a virtuoso in track may be ignorant in math even in spite of the undeniable fact that math has an intensive relation to track. On a side word despite the fact that if quadratic equations provide me nightmares. I more suitable a clean thank you to multiply and divide by way of utilising the types interior the numbers.
