Yes, I understant completly. I have come to realize though, that it is just the little things in life that matter. There is no building up to some amazing experience that will bring order and purpose to your life. Rather, it is the everyday choices that will bring you happiness. Someone once told me that 99% of your happiness comes from your relationships with other people. Think about it: could you ever be happy as the only person living in the world? Cherish your relationships with others, and seek to form new, lasting and meaninful friendships, your whole life. Thats my advice anyways! Also, look into Epicurus and the Hedonistic philosophies of Ancient Greece. They are all about finding happiness. Quite interesting ideas. Good luck!

I feel the same way alot.
The thing that seems to help the most is: FAYC
Forget About Yourself Completely.
I've found that if I seek out people to help, even if it's just to listen, it makes me feel better. Go to the grocery store and help an elderly person shop and carry their groceries. I think I see alot of them out on Wednesdays after the morning rush hour. ANYWAY....if worse comes to worse, just approach one of them. Tell them that you've been in the dumps and you've gotten some advice to help someone and if you can help them. Then as your shopping with them, ask them about their family, or what they did for work when they were younger...anything, be creative. You will forget all about how bored you are and your "motions" will be benefitting someone else AND yourself.
I'm a single mom and am very busy. I do feel overwhelmed and am going through the motions and i'm doing everything wrong. I find that if I go out of my way to be kind to someone, then I've done something "useful".

I have felt that way a lot in my lifetime. My answer is: change the way you think. It sounds like a silly answer, and it sounds like such an easy fix, but if you become aware of your breathing, and of the steps you take, and all the simple things, you'll discover all the things that you've been missing, and it's these things that are your life. Be aware of each moment as you live it. Don't mindlessly do something, while thinking about work, or your kids, or dinner. While you're driving, just drive, enjoy the drive, the scenery, the peacefulness of just driving. When you wash the dishes, know that you're washing dishes and do it just to do it, like you did when you were a kid. In doing this, you'll find you have more "you"time, because all of your time will be for you, your wonderful life.

I've felt that way before, more than once. Plan a trip or a party. Anticipation increases the excitement. Instead of waiting around for something to happen, make something happen.

particular, in actuality..the day gone by. I went to the flicks and it hit a bad factor..and a nightmare I had and recommendations and regrets...and that i broke down in tears in the foyer of the action picture theatres..and something of the day while so sluggish and felt like it became in vehicle-pilot. the subsequent morning i became ok.
