...or one hour earlier? Does it really make much of a difference? And I feel I have to clarify: ONE HOUR. Not half a day or 6 hours. And the 99% effectiveness the compnay gives is based off of the woman taking it at exactly the same time.

I'm assuming you've already been taking the Pill regularly for several months? Your body takes several cycles of the Pill to build up enough of the hormones to regulate your ovulation and periods.
Taking a Pill one day late (or one hour late or early) will not increase or decrease your chances of getting pregnant. However if you wait two days to take a birth control pill, then you should use another means of birth control in addition to the Pill to be fully protected from pregnancy.

You need to relax! Sounds like you're not pregnant since you've been safe! I'm sure you're period will come soon enough! Just try to do things to get your mind off of it in the mean time! And if it's a week late then take a pregnancy test (just for your peace of mind) but sometimes other things can cause our periods to be postponed! It just happens sometimes!

Should not alter effectiveness at all. Just best to take it about the same time daily. Less chance to forget your daily pill..

The same time of day is it. If you take it in the morning, keep taking it in the morning. At night? Keep taking it at night. I had to take mine at night because it upset my stomach, so I take mine right before bed. And sometimes I go to bed at 9:00pm and sometimes at 11:30pm. It hasn't failed me yet!
