and it was with people that we hadn't seen in a while so we made ourselves look nice and everything--hair, makeup, nice clothes... my aunt saw my sister and said "look at how glamourous she is!"... so of course just joking i said "what the... why aren't i glamorous?!?" ha, ha... right? well, she said "well honey you got a baby on your hip and that changes everything". WHY?

sometimes family members can be so inconsiderate to each other. Some of the rules we use when talking to friends and strangers are forgotten when we talk to family. It is a bad habit and can cause - as it did to you - hurt feelings.
The best thing for you to do is forget it. You can not make it right, and it can only become a sore spot with you if you let it. Don't ask 'why?' not why she said it nor why you are less glamourous. She has made a mistake and you are still as glamourous as you are no matter she said it or not.
People are beautiful or glamourous as they may be, but often beauty and glamour are 'in the eyes' of the beholder. You are experiencing an effect caused by your aunt's ideas about the world. You don't have to believe them, nor pay attention to them. They are her ideas, not yours.
The bottom line is this: You live in a world that is more beautiful than hers. So, don' t go live in hers!
;-D Don't take her comments to heart. Don't give up your own ideas of beauty and glamour just because someone is rude to you.

She said this because she doesn't find a baby to be a glamorous accessory. But babies aren't accessories, they're people and you look just as glamorous with your baby on your hip as your sis looks without one.
You maybe even looked more glamorous because someone who can pull herself together and carry a baby on her hip is a strong person--and strength is a glamorous trait.
I'm sorry you're aunt is so thoughtless and wrong!

Sounds like your aunt has outdated opinions. Some people still believe that you can't be a mom and be glamorous too. I'm not sure why they think that but they are wrong.

She sounds like a very unhappy, spiteful person. Having a baby may change "everything" in her narrow minded view of the world but she surely doesn't speak for everyone.
