i am a 43yr old grandmother of a 10 month old baby girl who is my whole world.......i been recently diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 3a i was wondering can i have a hysterectomy at this point or will it make my cancer spread i have also had radation and 6 chemo treatments that my doctor feels like we should take a break from it right now but the tumors are still there ....i am so scared i just want to know if i will be able to ne here to see my grand baby raised

Take heart. I can feel your fear, and I am saying a prayer for you right now for wisdom and for healing. For your peace of mind, maybe see another doctor for a second opinion about a hysterectomy. It is often a good idea, and I think your regular doctor would understand. All things will be well...

LISTEN to your Doctor. If you are really doubtful, and want a second opinion, ask your Doctor for a recommendation for one. You have a right to that. And then know this, worry won't change a thing...have faith. My thoughts are with you!

i think you should ask your doctor. i wish you great luck and keep hope alive. my aunt had cervical cancer and after her treatments lived another 22 years
