you ratted her out. You would have alot more fun being an irritant to her. Be subtle and do evil things that annoy and infuriate. Try not to get caught and keep your mouth shut.

if it were me i would just take the bullet, swallow it and move one. if you tell your boss i donot thinlk that makes a good impression onhim/her about you, but rather how you are a little bit imature. my advice is that next time someone else has some something rude to say tell them that if they cannot say anything nice then not to say anything at all which is the truth! you act more mature and you stand up for yourself vs. telling your boss which in my opinion is a a sign of weakness which most bosses, okay all bosses, do not like as a characteristic in their employess! you go to work to do your work and to accomplish what you have to do that day, and make friends somewhere along the way but only with people who can actually bite their tongue as well as tell you the truth in such a manner that it will not affect you! if you act more professional and as though the comment did not affect you you are the one who ends up winning since you play it cool and show no or very little emotion or act normal! the other peson who made the comment will see that you are a wise and mature person and eventually leave you alone. hope that helpes!

Ive always been an advocate of making attempts to handle inner office strife without involving other parties.
Ive found it very effective to personally and professionally confront a coworker in private.
Comments are mearly opinions. Just be aware of what they are saying, who they are saying them to and if theres any truth to what they are saying. Are they trying to undermine you are slander you?
Either way, I still feel its best to try to resolve problems in the work space personally. It will show that you are professional and skilled at conflict resolution.
If that doesnt work have their knee caps broken. ;-)

depends what she said really. i probably would have told her first what she said was unacceptable and see if she apologizes/continues saying rude things, I personally wouldnt jump right to the manager but then again it depends what she said

Was it something political?
What do you care? If she said something that upset you, then you should report her. If she doesn't want to get into trouble, she should keep her mouth shut.

Miss...why do you even have a job? Shouldn't you be at home with your children and following the whims of your husband? Lordy!
