My set-up is as follow's VDSL Modem> Linksys>PC ( with PPOe)> using two Wireless Wi-fi laptops.
The main PC has to go, so can I just use the Modem & LInksys to braodcast to the laptops?

Yes, but you may have to wire the laptop to the router if you ever need to re-configure your routers set-up page.

For a lap top. so long as the router is connected to your Internet provider and u have a wireless networkcard in your laptop its all good

linksys (most wireless routers actualy )usualy handles pppoe, just configure it and plug your dsl modem into the "internet" port.

yes, you still can. just connect the MODEM, not the ROUTER to the new computer and replug everything. then you can setup everything to that new computer. good luck
