i have a paper due. it has to be a compare and contrast paper about a work of art. i am wanting to do it on two pieces of work on either aphrodite or venus. i need to know if there is a site to research the history of art. thanks.

well, the internet has all kinds of stuff if you learn how to search, which isn't hard because they make stuff easy to find even by people that haven't any idea what they're doing.
anyway. your paper. college stuff. compare and contrast. this is like this other thing because, and yet different because. not changing the world, just being sure you know the difference between egg salad and caesar salad.
look, don't get fancy with this aphrodite and venus stuff if you don't already know something about it. go with what you know. compare two musicians you know and like. good chance they have similarities if you like both, and if you don't know the difference between them, spend tomorrow listening to them and just write what comes to you. it's art. you can't get it wrong if you just don't bs, and if you try to sound smart because you're picking two statues that you really don't give a rip about, you're not going to sound smart, you'll sound fake, and you aren't going to teach an art teacher anything about venus and aphrodite.
serious. pick some art you like. compare two movies you like, movies are art. books are art. architecture is art. art is everywhere.
but yeah, 'history of art sculpture' in a browser will get you lots of sleep aids if you still want to go that way.

I think it would be better to research Aphrodite and Venus instead of art. If your going to compare the two...
