Of course...unless you are one of those rare people who need medication to have that procedure done.

Yes, you should maintain your dental health! Having cavities or bad teeth can really affect your health and your baby's health. You can be harboring a gum infection or a cracked tooth or some other problem, and that will hurt your baby.

Your dental hygienist might be able to tell if you're pregnant, by the way... mine sure could, even though I wasn't showing. A pregnant woman's gums bleed more easily, even if she doesn't have gum disease or other problems with her gums.

You can have x-rays, because they will have you wear a lead-lined apron which protects you from neck to thighs. You can have fillings if they don't use silver amalgam which contains mercury. Get ceramic or porcelain fillings instead if you need them.

Yes you can, it's actually recommended to have your teeth checked at least once during pregnancy. The hormonal changes can cause changes in your teeth and gums and you might need to have special care. Just don't have X-rays done.

No, you will be exposing your unborn child to mercury vapors. Just wait a few more months.
