My friend swore using a loufa on my sides and tummy every day in the shower would keep them away, didnt help. Horrible stretch marks. They do fade a great deal after about a year. Mine are almost gone, to bad I have another on the way stretchign them back out. But creams do help. the marks will get really itchy at times, so that palmers stuff is a life saver, espeacially if you get an itching fit at 3am, slap that stuff on and nighty night, no more tight and itchy tummy.

there are all sort of preventative measures that women take such as the use of shea butter and such, but unfortunately, the biggest factor is genetics. Does your mother have stretch marks? If so... well, you probably will too. It's not a guarentee, but just as blue eyes and big noses are genetic, so is skin elasticity! Good luck... and remember... stretch marks are the badges of true women! lol

you can try to prevent them, its not always possible but you can defiantly reduce them cocoa butter is a wonderful product, you need to rub oil, or whatever you chose to use, you need to do it frequently to help your skin stretch, the softer you make your skin the easier it is to stretch without the tear marks. Another thing is losing weight to fast can cause stretch marks, you should use either oil or a cream to help after the birth also. I used rose hip oil to reduce my stretch marks and it worked wonders.
Good luck

some people do not have the elastic in their skin.. so the skin tares.. gaining weight and also having babies, bring on more stretch marks.. they will fade, but always be there until you have plastic surgery.. it's truly the only way so far 2 really get rid of them.. but not 2 have that done till you are sure there will be no more pregnancies.. bummer eh

cocoa butter has vitamin E oils. Why not get Vitamin E oil. I wouldn't take orally, but apply directly to stretching skin. My friend is using it right now and loves it.
She bought it at target, but I couldn't find it on their website. I have provided you with a link to Walgreens that shows a similar product with instructions.

my ex girlfriend just had a child and she asked that exact same question and what the hospital nurses said is that they will shrink and fade after you have the baby but they will never go away. if you want to help min. them then spread vitamin E oil on them. Just ask your doctor about vitamin E and your stretch marks and s/he should tell you more about it

i put cocoa butter all over my body every morning...after i got out the shower...and before i went to bed...and i have literally 2 stretch marks on my stomach and they are barely there...i used to go to a beauty shop and get huge bottles of cheap pure cocoa butter lotion...and it worked like a charm

Have you tried coco butter cream or lotion? This helped my exwife minimize her stretch marks to were they hardly could be seen.
