We have tried different postitions, rhythm method, pillows, you name it, nothing seems to work. What else could we try short of going to the doctor. That can get very expensive.

It took us 15 years to get pg. Just when we'd come to terms with the fact that we were never going to have children we found out the day before our 15th wedding anniversary. My advice would be to stop trying so hard & stop stressing over it. They sell ovulation test kits like pg tests. That might help you to know exactly when you're ovulating, but it does add stress about having to do it at that exact time.
Just relax & see what happens. I hope you are as blessed as we were!!

doctors are expensive so are kids. I had to go on fertility treatments to conceive my 3rd child. We tried for 2 years before seeking treatment we used treatments for 3.5 years before getting pregnant only to mis carry at 10 weeks. Temping your BBT Basel body temperature is a better way to time sex then the old rhythm method. By temping you will know if you ovulate or not. Some women don't ovulate and still get a period. You can't ever get pregnant if your not ovulating. Then You show a doctor a BBT that you don't ovulate they can give you clomid a low fertility med about 60.00 to 70.00 dollars to make you ovulate that is cheap as far as fertility meds go. If you do ovulate on your own already and you time sex 24 hours before ovulation and still don't get pregnant you may have to seek a fertility specialist to look at your tubes and your husband sperm to locate the issue. Having sex to often will decrease sperm a lot!. It's important to not have sex every day try to wait for the week of ovulation then go every other day. I got pregnant this time without trying i had gave up was content we would have no more kids We are due in december., my 1st two kids are 10.5 and 8.5 never used protection all the years between.

Have you tried praying & seeking The Lord The Giver Of Life? Matthew 6:33 Have you tried just talking to your Uterus & saying that you are now ready to have a child. I read this in a book a women did this and she became pregnant soon after that. Hey if it works it is cheeper than Fertility Doctors.

try this site, and read some of it whilst you get the chance... or get the book. Took my hubby and I a year to conceive ours, and withing the month of reading this book, and really understanding me and my cycle, it worked!! Just give it a whirl!! You may be surprised at what you find out!!

(you can even try out their software, or get it at this site... You build your chart on here, or can do it manually with the book.)

Basically goes on three things... Cervical position, cervical mucus, and Basal Body Temperature. When all three are in check, or that you notice them, they all change and tell you pretty much EXACTLY when the egg drops!! Amazing!! I work in the medical field, and had NO IDEA it worked like this!! Felt quite silly actually! I totally get it now!!

Good luck, and I wish you all the best!!!

:o)

Well try not having a baby, that usually does the trick, or really try birth control for a few months, like 6, then stop taking it, and in 2-3 months you should have a regulation goin on, do the fun thing, take a test and see. GOOD LUCK!!!

The best way that has worked with me and my family is to quit trying, when you relax and dont consume yourself with trying it will happen. It generally takes a year from when you start trying before you get pregnant. I am pregnant with my third which took years and my first only took 6 months, be patient when the time is right it will happen!! Good Luck!!

I agree with many of the people who have previously answered: Quit trying.
For five years, my parents tried for a child - every position, different times of day, every old wives tale, they even saw a fertility doctor, nothing worked. Finally they accepted the fact that one of them was infertile. Within one week of accepting that, they became pregnant with me - thrre more children followed. Silly as it sounds, relax and give up trying, a baby will come.

How long have you been trying? Statistics show that the AVERAGE amount of time it takes a normal woman (meaning one who ovulates regularly) to get pregnant is 5 months. That means some take less time, some take more time.

It took us 2.5 years with our first. Like they said above, when I finally gave up it happened. I also took a test to find out when I was ovulating then after sex I put my feet in the air to elevate my hips. Looked funny but I really think it helped.

going to an ob/gyn for advice doesn't have to be expensive.
as for you and your spouse, concentrate on enjoying each other, talk about your parenting expectations, rules that you think are important. Talk like you believe it will happen, and give yourselves some time.
