I know when I used to work at a grocery store to get marker off metal shelves we used hairspray, alcohol, or goobegone. Goobegone is a little bottle of yellow stuff that gets stickers and marks off and it's wonderful. That's if the others fail because it smells nasty. It's fumes are awful. Mr. Cleans Magic Erasers really do work too!

Yes! Mr Clean eraser pads. But use the original all white ones and don't use an off brand. They are the best invention of the century!!!

Sandpaper should work like a charm. Use a nice coarse one to get it off and than smooth it out with some really fine paper. It might look a little shiny but you wont have anymore marker.

Use fingernail polish remover on a cloth. If the siding is painted, you will just blot the mark. Do Not Rub it or you might remove or fade the paint.

I would try laquer thinner. My only advise is try it on an inconspicuos spot incase it removes the paint off the aluminum.
I use this stuff to melt contact cement.
