Like all new operating systems not all the bugs are really worked out on initial release. That would be a flawless release and that hasn't happened in the history of Windows or computers for that matter. Me personally, and this is only my opinion, I would personally wait until a few months down the road after Vista's release so they can work out all the bugs and glitches that the beta testers didn't catch. It's a time consuming process and yes it is an additional wait but sometimes the waiting is worth it compared to many headaches. Windows XP was the same way. Hope this helps you out.

Well. if you're going to buy Widows Vista (a summing your computer is Vista ready) and you have reservations about the software, waiting is not going to hurt. They may or may not have all the "bugs" worked out of it yet. It has been tested. My laptop is Windows Vista ready and I'm going to wait just a little while longer before I try it. See what other people say who have tried it. I will try it soon. That's one of the reasons I bought my laptop computer (XPS M1210 by Dell) So really it's up to you but I think it's ready for the market! Anther Widows Fan.

I think that Vista will be the best version of Windows yet, despite it's size. I personally like to run Linux, but I game too much to have a comp dedicated to it. I personally will wait for service pack one which will inevitably come out somewhere between 4 and 6 months after release.

why not go ahead and try it, you can already download RC1 and RC2 from Microsoft Free, they end around July, but you could try it out and see what you think, just go to google.com or yahoo.com and search download vista rc1 or download vista rc2. Good luck!

Mac OS, despite what many windows enthusiasts claim, is much more stable and harder for viruses and such to compromise. Microsoft writes sloppy programs and then uses it's customers to find the bugs. If you are going to get it, at least wait until they have patches available for some of the biggest bugs that are discovered.

No, let them work some of the kinks out of it before you buy. When they first bring out a program, there is always some flaws so I would wait a while and see how it goes.

if you have the money... well... go ahead... personally... i'm going to wait a couple months so that they find the majority of teh bugs and kinks in it and issue the service packs to it...you know there will be service packs.... from what i heard... the cost of the OS will be up there... just about as much as a PS3 of the nintendo Wii.
