Usually because it is the ultimate source of power and control in the relationship. The golden rule....whoever has the most gold makes most of the rules. Unfortunately many wives think that the husband's money is "our money" and the wife's money is "her money".

I agree. No matter how much money is involved I think this is the number one problem in marriages. Think of marriage as a two headed dragon with one stomach. You both want different things to eat but in order to survive you must compromise. You give a little and you get a little. Marriage is all about compromise, not just compromise but equal compromise.

It isn't the biggest problem for a marriage. The biggest problem for a marriage is finding someone who loves you unconditionally; money or not.

Because you have to have a place to live, food to eat, insurance to pay, yada yada. In today's world many people don't have a lot of money to spend on fun things. Budgeting is hard and money has to be managed and agreed upon how to use by both partners. A lot of people just spend and spend, which causes distress and frustration for the one paying the bills. Some people just don't know that you can't live on credit cards without paying a high cost. A lot of people have this trouble.

Lack of money is the problem...
"Trophy Wife" is probably one of the best moves
for an attractive young woman who is wise enough
and meets the qualifications...

I would say communication should be the biggest problem. Maybe its miscommunication about finances that is the most common problem.

it isn't about the money, it's about communication, and honesty. people can love without alot of money, they can survive alot of things, the biggest problem in a marraige is a breakdown of communication and cheating.

MONEY PAYS THE BILLS AND WHATEVER YOU WANT IN LIFE...NOTHING ELSE CAN DO THAT. COMMUNICATION, TRUST, LOVE ARE MAJOR, BUT MONEY IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE
