Openheaven's instructions are for if you're dialing WITHIN the US. This is an international call, and I do these all the time, as I work for a global company.

If you're dialing FROM AUSTRALIA ... TO THE USA, the correct dialing is:

0011 + 1 + areacode + phone number

I use this website all the time. Go to the MEETING PLANNER, select your city, also St. Louis, then click for the time zone comparison. Then click on the header that says St. Louis and it'll show you how to dial St. Louis from any location.

You may send your fax at any time, although no one will be there to take immediate action on the fax, it will be there when they open up in the morning. Just make sure when you send the fax it says connected, sending fax, fax sent or something similar to that so you know that it went through.

The country code for the US is 1, On most exchanges you would dial the international toll call prefix used in Australia, followed by country code (1), then 3 digit area code, then 7 digit phone number.

just the same way as you would make an international phone call.

0011 (country code) (area code) (fax number).

If unsure, check with your fax line network provider and they will let you know the codes.

Type in 1 (the country code), the area code and the number.

put your fax in the slot and hit send or whatever you normally do to send it.

note: 0011 is NOT the country code for the USA
