Wash completely add a box of baking soda and then cumple up a newspaper and put it in the fridge overnight. The newspaper gives the smell and moisture somewhere to go and then you just discard it.

Take every thing out of it and wash all the drawers and removable shelves in hot soapy dish soap. Then get some bleach and water in a spray bottle and clean the walls and every thing else in the refrigerator and put every thing back in it and the smell should be gone. Also, get a box of baking soda and leave it open in the refigerator.

Okay, You have all these answers, mostley bleach! But, I clean refrigerators for a reality company and have seen some really nasty ones. Left meat blood with out power! Yuck! Also, maggots, and bugs left in them too or growing in them! And the vingear works great! you can clean with what ever you want, wheater it be bleach, baking soda water,or what ever! But, i would not recommend using flowery smell unless u want ur ice to taste like flowers. I just clean it with bleach, and leave a bowl or glass of vingear in the fridge. It does not smell like a pickle i promise!

I use bleach to clean my refrigerator and then I buy baking soda box and open the top and leave it in my fridge and that way it smells good all the time***You can also buy the baking soda boxes now that are just made for your fridge and freezers @ your grocery store.

I clean mine with baking soda and also put the box in the fridge to help with odors. They now make a box of baking soda just for the fridge. Good luck!! I know it sometimes takes some good ol' old fashioned elbow grease to get them clean!!!

Perhaps you could try leaving an open box of baking soda in the fridge for a few days. It's supposed to absorb odors well.

I would hesitate to use bleach unless it is one approved for use around food. Some bleaches will contaminate food so be careful.
Baking soda as suggested is a good idea but other options are:, once you have cleaned the refrigerator leave Vanilla essence or a sliced onion or lemon in it as these all help to neutralise odours.

Thoroughly wash the fridge out and after making sure its dry inside, sprinkle instant coffee (half a cup or so-depends on size of fridge) inside and close the door for a few hours. Works a treat!
