Just a few should do it. Basically, only as many as you have time to drop into the soda bottle before it erupts. I'm thinking half a dozen at most, but more like three should be sufficient. But, heck, if it's an experiment, why not try different numbers of Mentos to see how many work best!

Just one. The surface of the mentos will cause the CO2 to start bubbling up and come out. The reaction is actually physical not chemical.

about 3 feet to 6 feet depending on the ultraxdenamio chloride activity inside the mentos.

Have someone by with a camera. It happens really fast!
A lot of fun to do.
I could only get 2-3 in before it blew!!

load them stacked into a tube, like 1/2" - to pour them into bottle
