I am married and I have a 3 year old beautiful daughter. When I first got pregnant with her I had lower back pains on both sides and it almost feels like when you pull a mussel back there. I also had slight cramps, pains in my lower abdomen. It felt as if I was going to start my period, but never did. I also felt really thirsty all the time. I waited till I was a day late to take the HPT. A POSITIVE showed right up. I didn't get any of the other symtoms until like 3 months pregnant. I have to say I had a really good pregnancy. Everybody is different and experience's different symtoms that aren't even listed under the most common ones. My husband and I are TTC now again for our second child, and I'm 4 days late with my period, and I'm feeling the same things I felt when I had my first child, eccept I took 2 HPT and they both said N. I now go for a blood test tomorrow. I wish you the best of luck! Let us know what happens.

I never experienced back pain in early pregnancy.

And I never thought that getting pregnant was much of an accomplishment. To be fair, I never had to TRY, either. But it seems like getting pregnant is biology. It doesn't require anything special of you. In fact, NOT getting pregnant is tougher! Now, being a great parent, THAT's an achievement! That takes work, and skills, and stretches you as a person.

I don't think to actually "be" pregnant will be my greatest accomplishment... I think actually "having" my daughter (due in 3 weeks!!!!) and raising her to be a wonderful adult will be my greatest accomplishment. I did not have back pain.... BUT I definitly had a weird taste in my mouth when I first got pregnant. It was like I had been sucking on a rusty nail all day. Absolutely disgusting.
I hope you do get pregnant though!

Good luck!

check a good reference for what sort of early symptoms are there. Most women don't experience them for a few weeks - but "most" is not "all".

On a personal note - I recommend reconsidering your greatest achievement. Getting pregnant is nice, but just biology.

Consider being a good mother to be your greatest achievement; there's one hell of a lot more work involved in it.

If being pregnant is your greatest accomplishment you have lived a sad and meaningless life. No, no woman in history has ever had back pain during early pregnancy. About the weird tast in your mouth. Did you try brushing your teeth? FYI. you can't get pregnant through your mouth.
