im trying to do this problem by myself

the problem is the sum of three consecutive even integers is -360

x
x+2
x+4

= 3x+6= -360

3x= -366

= -122

so the integers are -122, -121, -120 (how do you know if there supposed to increasing or decreasing)

if this solution is not correct please explain why

You almost got it! Here's the right answer:

Remember that your integers are EVEN, so x = -122 is right, but the other integers are -120 and -118.

To check your work, add the three integers together and see if they equal -360:

-122 + (-120) + (-118) =

-122 - 120 - 118 = -360
