It's fine for a nickname but not for a regular name. My husband's mother was named Celia and they called her CeCe.
Don't handicap a child with a weird name.

I think it's cute. My name is Cecile (pronounced like Cecilia but without the ya sound at the end) and I wish I'd been called Cece when I was little.

Cute nick name, but it sounds "ghetto" for a lack of a better word. Find a name like Ceciel & call her cece. Cece is not a very good profesional name for when she grows up.

Maybe as a nickname. Her real name should be the longer version of CeCe. When she gets older, she'll dread how juvenile it sounds. But you're on the right track in trying to find a unique name.

That name is so childish. CeCe won't be able to get a serious job with that name. There won't be a President CeCe or Boss CeCe or CeCe the CEO of whatever.

name her cecilia, then she can go by the silly nickname and still have a professional sounding name if she ever wants to have a job, get into college, or be taken seriously. CeCe sounds like a name for a poodle!

Makes me think of the TV show The Nanny, wasn't there a Cece, on that show? I don't care for it.

Not sure if you are trying to be original, but it's a pretty common nickname. Why not give her a name like Ceceilia, Ceila, Cecily, etc. Then when she's older and in the workforce or self-business, she can go by that name professionally, and CeCe can still be her nickname.
