The Ohio River and the Great Miami River.
Heres some background info:

The Ohio River is a principal tributary of the Mississippi River. It is approximately 981 miles (1,579 km) long and is located in the eastern United States.

The river had great significance in the history of the Native Americans. It was a primary transportation route during the westward expansion of the early U.S. It flows through or along the border of six states, and its watershed encompasses 14 states, including many of the states of the southeastern U.S. through its largest tributary, the Tennessee River. During the eighteenth century, it was the southern boundary of the Northwest Territory, thus serving as the border between free and slave territory.

WAIT! That's not all.
"Significant rivers within the state include the Cuyahoga River, Great Miami River, Maumee River, Muskingum River, and Scioto River. The rivers in the northern part of the state drain into the northern Atlantic Ocean via Lake Erie and the St. Lawrence River, and the rivers in the southern part of the state drain into the Gulf of Mexico via the Ohio and then the Mississippi."

Well, that's all I had to offer. I think the main thing your teacher was looking for was the Ohio River so don't stress out about the many other rivers in Ohio, BUT you could show-off....

The Ohio River doesn't actually flow THROUGH Ohio. It separates Ohio from West Virginia and Kentucky. While there are hundreds of rivers that do flow through Ohio, very few of them are well known. The largest are probably the Sandusky and the Miami.

How many do you want us to list? Cuyahoga, Maumee, Licking, Scioto, Miami.... There are hundreds of them.

Or do you mean the Ohio River which forms the southern border of the State of Ohio?
