When she is doing more then 4 8ounce bottles a day then you know its time to increase her food.My kids was all doing 8oz bottles at her age.My youngest was doing 8oz every 2-3 hours at 4 months.I put him on baby food and mashed potatoes and he was able to go a little longer then 2-3 hours without a bottle.Let her drink as much as she wants as long as you are giving her some baby food and cereal during the day.A well fed baby in the day will sleep better at night.

go ahead and make up an 8 ounce bottle and give it to her. Make sure she burps about halfway through it so that she doesn't over fill her stomach and spit it up. I know a lot will disagree but if she is hungry that much go ahead and start feeding her rice cereal three times a day from a spoon and slowly add fruits to it. My son was also a big baby and at four months he ate three times a day a bowl of cereal and a jar of fruit and still took a full 8 ounce bottle five times a day. It won't hurt them just don't add more than one new fruit a week.

I say give her 6 oz and feed her every 3 hours. Put cereal in the bottle for breakfast and dinner. That's what i fed my baby at 4 months. And my baby is big for her age too. (she been big for her age since 2 1/2 months)

I am a feed on demand type of mother. At four months I realized that my son wasn't getting all that he needed so I started him on stage one Gerber baby foods. I started by feeding him once a day then I moved it up to two times, then three and now I feed him four times a day! Start her on baby food--get her used to it then start feeding her more on a schedule.
Just a suggestion--if you want her to be very full at bed time feed her cereal with a spoon. I used to feed my son with a bottle and then I decided it has more substance with a spoon.
Haha--at first I thought you just said your daughter was four (as in years)--I just thought I'd include that because I thought it was funny. Anyway best of luck!

My son was eating about 8 onces every three hours when he was four months old. Every baby is different. If I remember right, I think the need to eat double there age.

I agree with the others. Sounds like it's time to introduce baby foods and rice. The bottle isn't as filling as it used to be. It's still important, but baby food will hold her over longer in between bottles. Sounds like your doing great!

Your baby is way too young to be drinking cereal...
She may be prone to allergies if you feed her to soon.

My doctor said 2.5ounces per pound per day. Babies won't eat if they are not hungry, so if she is eating whatever and whenever you feed her, you're probably doing it perfectly! :)
