It sounds like you're trying to find someone to marry. You shouldn't look for a relationship that way. You have a whole process to go through of meeting someone, getting to know them, falling in love.... that all takes time.

If you have met someone that you think you want to marry, you need to get to know each other first and to seek counciling once the engagement has been made. There are a lot of issues that you need to get straight before you say I Do. How many children do each of you want? Where would you like to live? What religion are you? How are you with financial issues? How far apart would you like your kids ages to be? What kind of parent would you make? How are you with your extended family? To me it does not matter how long you wait just as long as you have the counciling needed in order to resolve issues that might cause you to split up if you do get married.

What a strange question ! My husband and I met mid January 1999 and married mid July 1999, we knew within weeks of meeting that we would be together forever and ever.

Since the "someone" is new how do you know you should marry them?
Marriage is serious and supposedly forever......for goodness sakes take your time.....otherwise you'll be on YA asking how soon after you get married can you get a divorce.

Well you should automatically feel it in your heart if you are ready to marry. My fiance' and I only knew each other for 8 months before he asked me to marry him. So I really think there is no time limit on love, the time only comes within your inner self if you are ready.

FOREVER. Of course, I don't think anyone should actually get married! This country has everything backwards!!! (Of course, look at the current administration...!!!) It should be much more difficult to actually get married and considerably easier to get divorced! And naturally there's really no reason at all to ever get married!!! But then, that's just my opinion, I COULD be wrong, but....!!! :)
