does anyone know of a good diner or club which plays live jazz/blues or piano in san francisco? I have to take this so called classy american woman on a date. I have just seen her picture and we talked few times on phone (got hooked up from craigslist). We both like jazz/blues so .......

OK. . .here are some options:

- Yoshi's in Oakland. Yes, Oakland! It is only across the bridge and it is one of the best venues for jazz music in the Bay Area. The retuarant serves good sushi. Check out their website.

- Biscuit and Blues - This is near Union Square in San Francisco. They have shows, usually, nightly. The food is just OK in my opinion.

- Shanghi 1930 - This is not a "jazz club" but some place you can have a great meal and listen to live music on Thursday and Friday nights.

- Jazz on Pearl - I have not been here in a long time but it was one of my favorite places to go in the "City".

check out the "boom boom room" it is what is happening, lots of blues and musicians jam sometimes .......be there or be square/ [joke]
