Who is this Borat guy??? Is he really from Khazakistan? Did the government really make this movie, or is this just some stupid fiction comedy? Don't get me wrong, it's hilarious, I just am not sure that this is a real documentary... He seems to be acting.

LOL thanks... I saw an ad for the first time the other day on MySpace and I began looking for other videos on You Tube and the ones that came up, they all had comments that said "This Khazakistan reporter interviews so and so...." so I was like is he for real???

haaahahahahahaha...isnt he awesome!...his real name is Sasha Baron Cohen, actually jewish himself, also plays a character called Ali G on his show in the UK...Ali G is a joke. A joke that is usually played on stuffed shirts and stodgy officials that have no clue. On Ali's show that sometimes plays in the States, he will somehow have wrangled an interview on television with someone important sounding and then proceed to ask the most outlandish questions. His guest is usually unsettled to find a white looking, foreign sounding, rap talking, medallion wearing, ghetto dressed person doing the interview. In many cases his victim will still have no clue and continue trying to clarify what Ali G is pretending he doesn't understand as he asks even more off the wall questions. Ali G's show originates in England and is shown in the United States on HBO and some other channels infrequently.

Borat is a character played by Sacha Baron Cohen. He also plays a character called Ali G, as well a gay guy named Bruno. I have know about Sacha for years; he's only getting famous in the United States now, and everyone seems to think they know everything about him. He's from England, and is Jewish. He PLAYS Borat, a Kazakhstani man who travels around the United States to "teach people about Kazakhstan", only he portrays it using over-the-top stereotypes that are, quite frankly, hysterical. I have had a fish for 4 years now named Borat...he's my hero.

No, he isn't really from Kazakstan. He has a TV show called the Ali G show. In it he does similar things as in the movie. IE: he pretends to be different people and intervues others. I believe his two main personnas are 'Ali G,' a jewish wangster, and 'Borat' a kazakstany reporter.

Borat is from England, sort of comedy guy there. Now he is running around making fun of Kazakhstan and they are NOT happy, saying he is falsely derogatory, and ridiculing their country.
