The new law should be this, If a person has worked and bought and paid for any type of personal property then they should not be taxed every year for this same property.

I'd want to make several new laws. But one that comes to mind would be an elcted official does NOT do as he/she was elected to do then he/she WILL BE charged accordingly in a court of law.
Another would be that ANY new laws made would be put to a vote to be voted on by the people NOT the politicians. If accepted then it will become law. If not then it isn't a law.
Another would be to eliminate the Electoral vote. I could put several more down here But the above are a few of the ones I am stronger on putting into law.

Thou shalt not see a car coming down the highway going 65 miles an hour with no cars behind it or in front of it and decide to pull out from a side street in front of said car, only to go one block, and then turn, without even using a turn signal."
I know it's kinda long for a law (and probably wouldn't fit on a street sign) but it's one of my driving pet peeves.
Oh, and also...I would legalize gay marriage and marijuana.

Fantasy rule: People would be paid on the basis of their contributions to society. That would mean that entertainers and sports heroes would make less or at least no more than a doctor or teacher or police or firefighter.

I'd lower the drinking age to 18. I grew up in Europe, where the drinking age is 18, though not strictly enforced, and just can't seem to understand why in the US one can vote, go to war, get married, but can't have a lousy beer?

I'd make common sense a requirement by law. 99% of the world's population would be doing hard time in jail after the first week.
the rest of us would have a blast!! :)

It would be a law, that legally prohibits single parenting, and requires people older than 25 to either get married or live alone, instead of at home.

When a witness in court gives false testimony, when discovered, that witness should get the punishment they were trying to put the defense through.
