I think that Obama is coming across as a very fresh approach to politics and he also has the passion and convictions to get his views across. I also think he is balanced in his thought process.
It encourages me that he is getting the attention and people are listening. When I observe Obama's views, I definitely believe he has the ability to surpass the party lines.

He can't screw the U. S. any worse than yet another awful Republican. Bush has performed this type of poor job. This recession is surely hurting such distinctive human beings. The dollar is so vulnerable. We observed a recession with the two Bush Sr. & Reagan. (distinctive you're in all likelihood too youthful to bear in mind) The combat in Iraq and conflict in Afganistan are so rattling high priced. In no different conflict in historic previous has there been such distinctive suicides. you're quite paranoid in case you think of being Muslim is a difficulty. maximum Muslims are very indignant on the unconventional extremeists that make all of them seem undesirable. Oh and, why did GW pass on holiday while he replaced into informed 911 might take place?? BTW: i'm no longer balloting for Obama or McCain

I'm with you. If a progressive guy like Obama can get a conservative guy like David Brooks of the Wall Street Journal to beg him to run, you know he's the REAL uniter. I saw him on Charlie Rose the other day, and have read a bunch of other interviews, and what I like about him is that he's civil, he doesn't demonize people who don't agree with him. He respects other people's opinions. He listens. He's fresh. He has opinions and isn't afraid to say what they are, but doesn't put down people whose opinions are different. He has courage. His life has been one of having to synthesize many different experiences which will be helpful in leading a very fractured and fragmented society. And he's very bright. GO BARAK!

I am still trying to figure him out. But he appears very sincere, intelligent, and he does not seem to want to spit out the same "Party lines". Instead he seems to be an independent thinker. Another thing that he seems to be willing and able to do is negotiate with members of the opposing political party

I like his ideals, but question his ability to stay strong once D.C. games envelope him...Plus I don't think its time yet for America to accept a black leader or a woman for that matter..but in time it will happen..Obama is a good choice when the time comes..

He makes one good speech... one that doesn't even match his voting record... and he's elected to be Senator.

Now, he's been Senator for 2 years, and is the darling of the Liberals. He has gotten squat thru Congress to show for this two years (not unusual).

Now, you want to make him POTUS? What has he done beside made one good speech? And why would Americans want his liberal policies which have failed in the past?

Good heavens. He's still wet behind the ears. He's not had enough experience yet to be President. He's just great at giving speeches.

I don't know enough about him to say yet. He certainly comes across as very smart and full of energy.

I don't think that we have overcome racist hate in this country enough for it not to deny him election, but as of right now, were he running, I would certainly vote for him over any other names that have been bandied about by both major parties.

He lacks experience in politics and I would not want someone to be President with so little political experience; it must be earned.
