Bo arrested Patrick and told Hope that her lover had murdered Eve and that it all involved the disc that had cleared Chelsea. Despite it being clear that Bo had not broken the law to clear his daughter, Hope wasn’t sure she wanted to reconcile. Insisting he’d been framed, Patrick asked Tek to help him prove his innocence. Jack and Jennifer made love and realized they were still in love. Returning to Salem, the couple learned that he was in remission. Overjoyed, they opted to start a new life in London. Bonnie tried to switch the DNA test but failed. Upon discovering that he was Claire’s father, Shawn shared the news with a shocked Belle and Philip. A devastated Philip ran off with Claire. When the police eventually found him, Philip was arrested. Sami and Lucas were frantic when Will went missing. Thanks to a tip from EJ, Lucas found Austin and Carrie making out on the rooftop! After catching Carrie kissing Austin, Lucas kicked her out of his life. A supposedly kidnapped Will came home and admitted that he’d run away because of all the family turmoil. Concerned about his son, Lucas decided to move in with Will and Sami. When bloodstains were found in the MIA Marlena’s hotel room, John headed to New Jersey in order to check the situation out. Tek lashed out at Abe upon realizing that he was using Lexie as part of an investigation. DNA tests revealed that Shawn was Claire’s father. Shawn hired Frankie to fight for custody of the baby girl, prompting an enraged Philip to insist that Victor take his side in the coming battle. Shawn tried to reassure Mimi that Claire’s paternity wouldn’t impact their marriage. But she worried that Shawn would freak upon learning she’d kept quiet about the truth for months. Steve told Billie that he had feelings for her and that he was planning on divorcing Kayla.

Shawn wanted to leave Mimi after learning she’d kept quiet about knowing he was Claire’s dad. Meanwhile, Belle’s condition worsened forcing Phillip to decide whether to save her or her unborn child. When Philip chose Belle, Shawn understood but still mourned his baby and later chose to drop the custody battle. Bo and Hope slept together. As Max prepared for the Grand Prix, the gloved stranger left a note in the garage and Abby found it. During the race, Max’s car caught on fire and he hit Stephanie’s car. Comforting his injured daughter at the hospital, Steve remembered holding her as an infant. Billie told Kayla that she would back off of Steve if he ever regained his memory. Roman found evidence from Max’s garage that exonerated Patrick of the charges against him. Tek told Lexie that Abe was investigating her. Lucas moved into Sami’s for Will’s sake and the sexual tension between them grew despite her agreeing to go on a date with EJ. John found Marlena locked up in a storage unit and brought her back to Salem, where the reunited pair made love. Philip was furious to learn that his parents had known the truth about Claire’s paternity for months. Discovering that Victor had kept quiet about the truth, an upset Shawn drove Max’s car into the Kiriakis mansion and attacked his grandfather. Philip decided to leave town. Trying to forget about Belle and Mimi, Shawn slept with Willow, a prostitute he’d once helped out. Willow wound up training Mimi for work at Chez Rouge. Unaware that the two were already intimately acquainted, Willow tried introducing her “boyfriend,” Shawn, to Mimi. Will and Lucas tried to ruin EJ and Sami’s date. Lucas later admitted to Sami he still cared for her. Kate had sex with EJ. It was revealed that Patrick — who asked Hope to go away with him — had paid to have her paternity tests altered.
